Two from Beckie
Thanks again for such a wonderful job on these two quilts! Joan has the baby quilt for her great-grandson and the floating stars are floating to Newfoundland as we speak!!! Beckie
Texas Teardrop Quilt
Jill's Teardrop Quilt will be going to Prince Edward Island. The blues in this quilt are beautiful. I had some fun figuring out how to quilt it.
Orangeville Agricultural Society Quilt
Blocks for this stunning quilt were made by many individuals and donated to the Orangeville Agricultural Society. Quilt top was sewn together by Elspeth King and then quilted by Janet Slater. Raffle tickets are $2 each or $5 for 3 tickets. The draw will take place in January 2018. All proceeds to the Orangeville Agricultural Society.
A quilt for Jill's granddaughter
This quilt was made for my granddaughter, designed by my daughter. The bed it was made for was my husbands mother and it was a hundred years old.
A Quilt for Canada Day
Debbie’s quilt for Canada Day. There’s a very proud Mountie on the front and questions and answers about Canada on the back
A Wedding Quilt
A beautiful quilt pieced by Sue Pirie for her nephew’s wedding. The pattern is Star Gazing by Judy Laquidara
Garden Tour Quilts in memory of Pam Neilly
I quilted these for Sue Hopkins Van Zant’s Garden Tour. The tops were pieced by 10 quilters in memory of Pam Neilly. They were auctioned off at the Garden Tour and proceeds donated to Bethel House.
This quilt was a special quilt for Jill's sister in law. The colours reminded her mother of her mother and the butterflies reminded her of her vacations with her late husband with all the butterflies.
Sabina's Silk Quilt
Sabina started this quilt in 2016. The quilt top is 100% silk. The fabric of the binding is also silk and it was used in several of the large medallions. The backing is cotton with 80% cotton batting.
I enjoyed quilting this adorable owl quilt. This was pieced by Carol for her friend who is going to be a grandmother. The baby will have a very special quilt ! Carol put extra batting in the owls so when I quilted the "feathers" the owls really popped!!!
My quilt looks really great. I am so proud of it. Thank you for doing such a great job on it. It really looks lovely.
A Christmas Gift
A very special Christmas gift that Sharon made. I received this picture on Christmas Day with the subject saying, " I think she really likes it ! "
Craig's Quilt - by Janet
This is a quilt I made for Craig. I designed the quilt using the Storm at Sea pattern.
A "Cool" Silk Quilt
This quilt top was made in 100% silk. Sabina made it for her grandson Noah and together they researched the meanings for the butterflies, dragons and flowers. Noah thinks his quilt is "cool."
A VERY Long Tablerunner
A very long table runner (110 inches). Top was made by Val for her daughter in England. I received a lovely email with all the pictures and a comment from Val's daughter Sarah. "Wonderful work"
Joan's Wedding Gift Quilt
Janet Slater is a wonder. I was impressed with her ability to not only listen and understand what I wanted, but guide me and then make adjustments to ensure what I ended up with was the beautiful quilt I envisaged. The final product is spectacular and one I am sure will be handed down to generations. Thank you, Janet. You have helped us make a very very special wedding gift.
Janet is a long-arm quilting genius. She makes sure you pick the proper design for your project and she's FUN ! I am thrilled with her work - as are all the people that see my quilt! Mary DeVries
Cat Quilt - by Trish
I first saw these patterns several years ago and I immediately wanted to make a quilt. I started collecting the patterns and even tried to make some of the blocks. I did not get the result I wanted because I always felt my skills were inadequate. Much practice, several classes and a quilt show on the horizon motivated me to try again. I was pleased with the results and even more pleased with Janet's quilting. I challenge the people looking at it to find the mice Janet has hidden in the quilting! I understand the sneaky lady has hidden 5 mice in the quilt. Good luck finding them!
